We've stopped using plastic water bottles but were looking for a safe and green alternative that someone actually uses and can recommend. Thanks for the article. I'm showing this to my wife tonight!!

We use a Multi-Pure filter on our kitchen tap and the shower. :) The taste is great! So much better than regular tap and we're so happy not to buy bottled water anymore.

Thank you for your update on using filtered tap water rather than bottled water. People are just now beginning to realize how wasteful
and harmful using bottled water is. These plastics are not only hazardous to our health but take forever to biodegrade. Thanks again for being so informative about such an urgent subject.

You lucky gal, you! My husband and I have wanted to do this in our home but just haven't mustered up the courage to do it. So worth it tho'. It's on our wish list. Yay! Glad you guys took the plunge for healthier, cleaner water. Hey, if you can't find a spring near you- it's the next best thing. I hate our tap- they've added chloramines supposedly - hate even thinking about it.

I will never trust tap water. I could care less how many times we are reassured by government organisations how "safe" something is, water included. Far too many people forfeit responsibilty for themselves and allow their health to fall into somebody elses hands. Its the reason why so many people are sick today. People need to make informed decisions based on quality information rather than blindly following things without question...

I am purchasing a Wellness Water filter, and have been using bottled water for way too long. (literally waiting for it to arrive in the country) I also intend on getting the shower filter too. We use Klean Kanteens (the highest quality Stainless Steel you can get-I wouldn't buy Aluminium) in our house and my stomach drops when I think of all that plastic and all those bottle tops(have been saving them ever since you blogged about it)and the other reasons you mentioned...

I kicked the bottled water habit about 6 months ago. We just drink straight up tap water, I'm not that worried about contaminants. My water source is actually glacier and melted snow fed and contains almost no flouride or contaminants. Plus I'm just not that worried about it.

I have both stainless steel and aluminum / liner bottles. I like the aluminum ones because they're lighter weight and they have way cuter patterns available. But I like the stainless steel ones because they're dishwasher safe. I don't think you can go wrong either way, honestly.
